With a subtle, inclusive approach, the Ai chair pays a tribute to the heritage of the wooden chair, except it is manufactured with modern, sophisticated, wood working techniques in Pennsylvania, USA. British designer Lloyd Cowdry has created a natural oak chair with a beautifully steam-bent backrest, legs and spindles manually turned and the seat cnc:ed milled, perfectly merging classic and contemporary design. The chair is warm and human, letting the wood be carefully oriented in the production, to achieve a parallel grain appearance. Inspired by the Windsor chair and great Pennsylvanian wooden traditions the Ai collection has considered details, with equal time spent on comfort, silhouette and tactility. All Ai products come in oak-natural in seven colors, as well as in dark walnut option.
Any color you like!
Ai is produced as standard in a range of seven colors, using natural dyes and traditional staining techniques to help protect the environment.
If you would like something unique, collect.studio are happy to discuss your needs to produce the chair in any color of your choosing.
